Trial Lawyer

Katherine A. Smith is a trial lawyer at Carpenter & Zuckerman who is fiercely committed to the advocacy of injury victims’ rights. In her role at CZ Law, Katherine focuses on litigating wrongful death claims, as well as all manner of cases where victims have been severely injured.

From clerking at the Children’s Law Center in Los Angeles to volunteering as a mentor at the Los Angeles LGBTQ Youth Center, Katherine has always been passionately motivated to protect and serve the vulnerable and underrepresented. This empathic quality, combined with Katherine’s broad legal experience and outstanding educational achievements, make her a natural addition to the robust legal team at CZ Law.

As an associate attorney at a prominent Los Angeles law firm, Katherine spent several years focusing on consumer protection and litigating against major automobile manufacturers.
