33 Year Old Women Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash

A collision that took place just before 3 p.m. on Monday, June 5th took the life of a 33-year-old Renton woman. The two-vehicle collision happened along northbound Interstate 405 of Highway 169.

The woman was a passenger when the driver of the vehicle that she was in, failed to slow down and the driver plowed their vehicle into the car stopped in front of them, according to a news release from the Washington State Patrol.

The 39-year-old driver was taken to Valley Medical Center for injuries resulting from the crash. There was also a one month child in the car that didn't suffer any injuries. The 63-year-old victim who was stopped in his car that was slammed into, also was not injured as of that day.

The 39-year-old male that failed to stop is now facing pending charges.

The road was shut down for over two hours as Washington State patrol investigated the scene of the accident.
