Edward Cherkezian

Edward Cherkezian is a skilled California personal injury lawyer who stands up against billion-dollar insurance companies in order to protect the rights and best interests of injury victims.

Edward joined Carpenter & Zuckerman in 2018 where he worked as a law clerk for a few months before becoming an attorney at the firm. During his time at Carpenter & Zuckerman, Edward has taken and defended hundreds of depositions, litigated hundreds of personal injury cases, argued hundreds of motions, and obtained millions of dollars in settlements for clients.

Prior to pursuing a career in law, Edward worked as a banker who managed a portfolio of mortgage litigation on the banking side. In his role, he testified in numerous depositions and trials, which gave him unique insights into the bureaucratic unfairness that exists within billion-dollar corporations. It was this perspective that helped fuel Edward’s decision to pursue a career in law and fight for justice for average consumers.

Today, Edward says standing up for his clients is his greatest privilege: “It is my true honor and pleasure in life to advocate for my clients and offer guidance — not just in the legal world, but also with life itself,” Edward said. 

Education & Personal Life

Edward earned his Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School through a two-year accelerated SCALE Program. Before that, he earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In law school, Edward received CALI awards in Legal Analysis and Writing, Constitutional Criminal Procedure, and Community Property for having the highest grades in his class. During law school, he interned for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.

Edward was born in New York and was always a Knicks fan until he moved to California as a teenager and Kobe Bryant stole his heart, turning him into a die-hard Lakers fan. As an avid runner, Edward religiously runs the trails of Griffith Park, and he never ends a run without at some point making it to the Griffith Observatory. On Sunday nights, Edward can be found in front of the grill with his father-in-law.
